this is the epitome of emo: a star AND converse shoes!

during dinner tonite, i tried to explain to my mom what EMO and INDIE were. she was very interested. it was complicated and i feel like i can write up an entire university thesis on the two "subcultures", as my mom puts it. my sister and i have sort of different ideas to what emo is, though. ehn. she hasn't explored MySpace yet, so i'm going to assume that i automatically know more about emoisms.
