this ain't a scene, it's an arms race
i paid a lovely little visit to the dentist today. ewww. i have zero cavities, someone gimme a gold star!!!
the dentist's was in burnaby, so we went a little out of the way and drove to coquitlam for a while. for old times' sake. i don't know how i used to live there contentedly. it reminds me of some Redneck County although i know it isn't like that. i kept half-expecting some lumberjacks to spring up with their guns and game and an armful of dead rabbits for supper. choppin' some wood and shit. hahahahaha. i am so mean.
i wonder what they do for kicks.
we drove by my old elementary school, my old middle school, the library, the community centre, my old friends' houses, the huge-ass IKEA, the swimming pool, and some more. holy crap, i used to spend half my childhood in that aquatic centre. it has a wave pool and a wicked waterslide.
it felt weird to be back.
i could have rang the doorbell at my old middle school friends' houses (i havent seen them for about five years), but i am afraid of people and tend to avoid them as much as i can.
we drove back to vancouver while listening to neutral milk hotel. there was a nice sunset today.
