broken social scene performing at the junos.

i've ranted about tonite's juno awards so much already but i should still rant about it on my blog to be doubly obnoxious.

to keep it short, the junos were pretty predictable and/or boring, except for a few things. pamela anderson sucked. shudder. most of the performances were pretty shitty (ie. Massari, which was painful), but broken social scene's performance of "ibi dreams of pavement" was frigging amazing. (did you expect me to say anything otherwise?) the junos TELEVISED the Best Alternative Album of the Year category, which is something they've never done. i was jumping up and down and crossing my fingers and all the retarded shit like that, for that category. BSS took the best alternative album juno and i'm super proud of them. hee.

buck 65 (the turntables dude) was awesome during the entire show. i wanted to hug him. on the other hand, black eyed peas were so annoying and so up in their asses, that i wanted to shoot them. bedouin soundclash had an okay performance. boring. why wasn't alexisonfire nominated for anything? they're a hundred times better than bedouin.

it's not like i expect a lot from award shows (ESPECIALLY the junos) but it was one of the worst i'd ever seen, except for that broken social scene performance/win. i am clearly way too obsessed about them.
