Some music news. bear with me.

SAM ROBERTS IS BACK (as shown above). He has a new album called "Chemical City" out in May. I saw the video for their new single yesterday, look for it on the Muchmusic Countdown if you happen to be watching the show (they are at #26.)

More Junos Junos Junos... you can go to b(oo)tlog for a downloadable mp3 of the Broken Social Scene Juno performance of "Ibi Dreams of Pavement".

Panic! At the Disco and the DRESDEN frigging DOLLS are coming to Vancouver, they play the Croation Cultural Center on July 27th. Hmmmmmmm. ponder ponder. I want to see Dresden Dolls because they are amazing live from what i hear, but I don't feel like wading through annoying emo kids (P!@tD fans) at the show. It would be really awesome if they did Karma Police (Radiohead cover).

Also, the Vans Warped Tour is coming to Vancouver on July 18 at the Thunderbird Stadium. The lineup includes usual tattoed punk acts (and not-so-punk acts)... again, i hate punk fans way too much to seriously ponder going, even though the lineup includes The Academy Is..., Alexisonfire, Moneen, etc.

I need a fellow Neko Case fan to go to her concert with me on July 2, at the Center for Performing Arts. I REALLY want to go because her new CD "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood" just blows my mind. If you haven't listened to anything by her yet, she's the female voice of the New Pornographers. She sounds like Cat Power, the Decemberists, Wilco, Feist, PJ Harvey, and others... and she always reminds me of Janis Joplin. Her songs are amazing.

Speaking of Feist. She's coming to Vancouver as part of Folk Fest or whatever it's called on July 15, at Jericho Beach. She was here last year too, as well as Jason Collett, part of the same event.

I've gotta go and watch the frigging Muchmusic VJ search... wow i never would've thought i would say "I GOTTA WATCH THIS-AND-THIS TV SHOW" in my life.

ciao.
