i hate it when i can't read what people are thinking/feeling. usually i can tell in a snap, but a few people drive me nuts because i dont know what they're thinking. its like in the book when Jimmy can't decide if Oryx's laughing is her laughing at him because she feels contempt, or because she is charmed by him. hopeless, miserable, desperate, head-over-heels Jimmy. i feel bad for him.
