today it was crazy windy, and something like half of BC had a power outage for some part of the day. my saturday school got canceled (it's in langley) and my sister and i enjoyed the wild wind outside while we waited for situations to get settled. the wind hurt the insides of my ears. the trees shook madly and made big swoosh sounds. branches and leaves fell off the trees, the street pavements were littered with twigs and debris. there was a canadian flag at the school and whenever it slapped the flagpole, it made big cracking noises, like a whip.

i took a shitload of photos, which i will post later. the wind was so powerful that when i stood with my jacket open, i was forced to steps backwards. it was fantastic and i felt amazing, i was small and insignificant compared to the wind. it was a chaos driving back on the empty highway because our car was rocking back and forth and side to side from the unstopped wind. it was insane. the mix of awe and fear and coldness and movement was perfect.
