random memory:

when i was in grade seven and was attending a financially poor elementary school, (compared to say, Shaughnessy) my grade six/seven class had an e-newspaper/newsletter thingamajig in which students write articles on various things and post them on the internet, complete with hyperlinks and pictures and scanned photos. i wrote an article on Books to Read. i was excited for this big, awesome project.

on the commencing date of this class project, my teacher, ms nikon, picked 2 editors-in-chief, and i was made one, along with my friend Shawn (pictured above). i was ecstatic and completely caught by surprised, although it wasn't too surprising afterwards (there weren't many grade seven kids in my class). i thought i was something special. wheee. shawn and i spent endless minutes trying to put together everyone's webpages after editing them and hyperlinking them. it was the most awesome feeling ever. plus, we got to use the teacher's computer while editing and scanning, which is obviously infinitely better than the usual student ones. ha!

I went to a poor elementary school too

I remember getting a class computer for the first time in grade 6, we thought it was the greatest thing to happen to us. Then we put some Eminem and Dr. Dre music on and the teacher took it away for a month.

sounds like your first experience with blogging!?
