yesterday at about 6pm there were multiple limo's full of teens outside my apartment building and loud woohoo!s. the girls were wearing pretty lavender dresses and they were poking their heads out of the limo's sunroof. i guess it was their grad/prom that nite. they had rosy cheeks from alcohol.

i've had the magneta lane song "broken plates" stuck in my head for about four days in a row now.

yesterday, at matt's house:

matt's dad: did you break any of my drill bits?
matt: i didn't break NUTHIN'.

it was hilarious. you had to be there. i think we were all cracking up.


by the way, the 2006 Muchmusic Video Awards are taking place on June 18. There are quite a bit of performances that i'd like to see, i think (nelly furtado w/ timbaland, metric, fall out boy, city & colour). i'm excited for it. [list of nominees]

stars' video for "your ex lover is dead" is nominated for best director.. and guess who they are! Experimental Parachute Moment, which consists of Kevin Drew and George Vale... i didnt know that.

nominations for best independent video include broken social scene's 7/4 Shoreline and city & colour's Save Your Scissors.

in other words, i'll be glued to the tv for a while on the day of this awards show. i'd never miss a music awards show anyway (unless they are the grammys).
